Delete your CounterBid account
Last updated August 16, 2026
CounterBid is in closed beta. This is written in plain language so it can actually be read, and will be reviewed by counsel before public launch.
This page explains how to delete your account for CounterBid, published by CounterBid. You do not need to install or reopen the app to make the request.
Delete it yourself
Sign in, open account settings, and use “Delete my account”. It takes effect immediately — no email, no waiting on a support queue.
Or ask us to do it
If you cannot sign in, email support@counterbid.app from the address on the account with the subject “Account deletion request”. We complete these within 30 days and confirm by email when it is done.
What gets deleted
- Your name, email address, phone number and password.
- Your ZIP code and the location derived from it.
- Your open listings, which are closed so no shop bids on them.
- Your ability to sign in, permanently.
What is kept, and for how long
Records of completed and cancelled deals stay, attached to an account with no identifying information on it. This is not a loophole — a deal has two sides. The shop that bought four cards from you keeps its own record of four purchases, and the reliability rating other sellers rely on still counts them. We cannot delete one party's history of a transaction the other party was also part of.
Server logs kept for security and fraud prevention roll off within 90 days. Encrypted backups roll off within 30 days.
Before you delete
You cannot delete an account with a deal in progress, because someone is waiting on you. Complete or cancel it first — both are available from your dashboard, and cancelling is always allowed.
